Short version: your URL lists stay in your browser. There are no accounts, no database and no cookies of our own.

What stays on your device

The generators, splitter, extension builders, validator (for pasted and uploaded files) and extractor run entirely in your browser. Files you open are read locally and are never uploaded.

History. When you download a sitemap, the generator saves the input and settings in your browser's localStorage (up to 15 entries) so you can reopen it. Nobody else can see it, including us.

What goes through our server

  • Fetch URL, sitemap finder and the “couldn't fetch” checker send the URL you enter to our server, which requests that one sitemap (and the site's robots.txt) and returns the result to your browser. We don't store the URL or the response. Requests identify themselves as SitemapStudioBot/1.0.
  • Sitemap doctor (AI) sends the list of findings and any note you type to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to generate the explanation. It runs only when you press the button. Don't paste secrets into the note field.
  • Our host keeps standard request logs for security and abuse prevention.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool, to count page views. It does not track you across sites.
