SitemapStudio is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle data when you use our sitemap generation and management tools.

Data Processing

Client-Side Only: All sitemap generation, validation, and processing happens entirely in your browser. No URLs or sitemap data are sent to our servers.

Local Storage

IndexedDB: Your sitemap history and templates are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This data:

  • Remains on your device only
  • Is never transmitted to our servers
  • Is under your complete control
  • Can be deleted at any time through your browser settings

Optional AI Features

If you choose to use optional AI-powered optimization features:

  • URL patterns may be sent to Vercel AI Gateway (which routes requests to OpenAI GPT-5-nano)
  • You will be explicitly asked for consent before any data is sent
  • You can opt out of AI features at any time
  • The AI Gateway processes requests securely and does not retain your data
  • OpenAI's privacy policies apply to data processed through their models

Analytics

Ahrefs Web Analytics: We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This service:

  • Collects anonymous usage statistics (page views, referrers, browser types)
  • Does not use cookies for tracking
  • Does not collect personal information
  • Helps us improve the user experience
  • Data is processed according to Ahrefs' privacy policy

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other invasive tracking services.

Third-Party Services

SitemapStudio integrates with the following third-party services:

  1. Ahrefs Web Analytics - For anonymous usage statistics
  2. Vercel AI Gateway - For optional AI features (with explicit consent)
  3. Vercel Analytics - For performance monitoring (anonymized)

Data Security

Since all processing happens in your browser and no data is transmitted to servers, your sitemap data is as secure as your local device.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data on our servers, you maintain complete control over your information. You can:

  • Clear your browser's IndexedDB to delete all stored sitemaps
  • Use the application without creating any persistent data
  • Export your data at any time

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were made.
